Monki - From King to Queen

Illustrations for the opening of Monki’s new store at Drottningatan in Stockholm. The campaign is called “From King to Queen” since the store is moving from Kungsgatan (King street) to Drottningagatan (Queen street)!

For the campaign I created different characters that would fit the theme - A Queen character that steps on a chess piece that resembles a king, a naked kitty with a thong and a sinsiter grin, and a monster shoe that laughs while crushing the king chess piece with it’s heels. They are surronded by alien-looking butterflies and meat eating flowers with red glaring eyes. My goal was to create a world of feminine characters that would feel powerfull yet lighthearted and fun - with a mischievous twist.
