I lie awake while everyone else is sleeping. Outside my window the moon shines so brightly from it’s heavenly abode. Suddenly I hear voices, the sound of the world outside my window. I can’t stay here alone with my thoughts, I need to join them.

Restless Sleeper is a film about an alien who has trouble falling asleep. Eventually the restlessness overflows her and she jumps out of her window, leaving the safety of her tower behind. She gets mixed up with a weird gang, sings karaoke and travels through the night sky on the back of a pyjamas wearing cat. The film is about nostalgia, the difficulties of growing up and about finding a place where you belong. It’s a film for the ones who has trouble falling asleep at night, for whoever that needs it and for the ones that ever felt like an alien. 2022
